Turkey Trots have become an essesntial part of Thanksgiving tradition. The holiday best known for food comas, family and football now includes a morning Turkey Trot in preparation for the 5000 calories headed your way. Thanksgiving has become the largest running event of the year as participants flock (no pun intended) to events across the country.

This November just wouldnt be the same without Pumpkin Pie and what could be better than a race named after the favorite tradition? Exactly, nothing! This run takes place right in the beautiful Denver City Park and of course all finishers get a sweet slice of pumpkin pie among other Thanksgiving goodies.

Turkey Trot Prediction Run

A prediction run, what is that? This event requires each runner to predict how long it will take them to finish the 5km course. The winners are not the first to finish, but those that finish closest to their prediction. Winners will receive, yep, you guessed it, a full-sized turkey.

This is not your run of the mill 'Turkey Trot.' This is the 10k Turkey TREK! Are you up for the challenge? Run a steady uphill climb to the summit of the course at the 3 mile mark. Poised at the top of the hill is the infamous EGG NOG CHUG Challenge where racers (have the option) to chug 5 oz of eggnog. (Those who 'chug' are entered to win a new pair of shoes!)
