The Run for the Roses is the main fund-raising event of the year and provides critical support for the Grafton Community Library's programming and materials collection. The race is a USATF sanctioned 5K. A Kids' 1-Mile Fun Run follows the 5K. The run happens at Grafton Lakes State Park and paid registrants receive a t-shirt, book, rose. Fun Run kids receive a t-shirt, book, ribbon, and ice cream certificate.
