Race Information

Runners of all ages and ability levels will enjoy crisp, cool April weather in scenic Salt Lake City. The U Health - University of Utah Salt Lake City Marathon features something for everyone: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K Run, 10K Skate, Bike Tour, 5K Run, and a Kids K.

Surrounded by snow-capped peaks that contrast colorful spring blossoms, the race transplants you into a scene of natural beauty. The marathon and half marathon start at the Olympic Legacy Bridge at the University of Utah, the site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Athlete Village.

The USATF certified marathon course is slightly downhill overall. From the start runners go downhill for five miles plus, then it's a roller-coaster through 15 miles with plenty of climbs. From there you go downhill for a stretch then hit another notable long incline peaking at mile 21, then mercifully you cruise downhill to the finish.
