Race Information
The annual Run for Rural Medicine is an in-person, chip-timed 5km/10km race beginning at Jericho Beach in Vancouver. For 2 weeks leading up to the live event, you can also participate in virtual challenges and have a chance to win great prizes.
All proceeds support Hope Air, a national charity providing financial support, transportation, and accommodations for patients seeking medical care far from home. RFRM is organized by UBC medical students passionate about rural access to healthcare.

Don your spookiest or most imaginative costume and prepare to make an impression as you dash through the course. New for 2024, the Mini Monster Dash, a 400-meter run for kids aged 9 and under. It’s a safe and exciting way for little goblins, superheroes, and ghosts to be part of the fun!
With a lively atmosphere, community spirit, and plenty of Halloween surprises, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Each registration includes a custom souvenir, medal, race bib with chip timing, and refreshments.
