The annual edition of the world-renowned Freihofer's Run for Women allows runners to join a 5K happening in the shadow of the NY State Capitol and City Hall in the heart of downtown Albany. The venue features great spectator viewing, easy and plentiful parking, a spacious start, and a gradual downhill finish surrounded by beautiful urban parks making it one of the most picturesque in the region.
This event weekend includes a Health and Fitness Expo, free Kids Runs for children 3-10 years old, the Capital Kids 3K for youth participants aged 7-14 years, a virtual option for the 3K and 5K, and of course, the amazing in-person 5k.
