Race Information
The Midway Shelter 5k is a classic 5k that has been around for many years and supports the Alameda Midway shelter. The race now features a 5k, a 10k and a kids fun run, and finishers receive a great shirt, custom bib, finisher medals and post run food.
Founded in 1989, Midway Shelter of Alameda provides a safe and supportive environment for women and children experiencing homelessness. By pledging any dollar amount, in addition to your registration, you can support the Midway Shelter provide a safe place for women and their children. Your donations are tax deductible.
Run Pick of the Month - The Donut Fun Run
Enjoy a timed, donut-themed 5k race on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Taking part at Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Promenade, you'll run past epic views of San Francisco Bay and the Seaplane Lagoon Naval Ships.
Celebrate post-run with the Donut Festival, featuring live music, live entertainment including The Dancing Donuts, food booths, wine and beer, photo ops, and of course, donuts from Donut Petit.
Battle it out after the race in the donut eating contest, with the first prize winner taking away $1000! You must have completed the race to enter!
