Distance 1mi, 5k
Course Type Trail

Race Information

StRides Against Suicide & Overdose is hosting a 5k Run/Walk and 10, 40, 60 and 100-mile bike rides to raise funds for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment for those in Northwest Indiana who are in need and cannot afford the treatment. They are addressing an important issue that affects many people and their mission is to spread awareness and raise money.

The annual U.S. suicide rate increased 30% between 2000 and 2020 and it is the 2nd leading cause of death amongst 15–34 year olds in Indiana. One major barrier to mental health and substance abuse treatment is cost/and or lack of insurance and their solution is to fund that treatment.

After the race, enjoy the musical performance of an invited act and groove along to its electrifying performance. To ensure your comfort, bring your lawn chairs and get ready to immerse yourself in the rhythm. But that's not all! They've got your appetite covered too! Participants and volunteers will receive free lunch and you can kickstart your day with a delightful selection of coffee, donuts, fresh fruits, and bars. Get ready to savor the perfect blend of music, food, and fun! 🌭🎵 Don't miss out on this incredible event!
