The Jersey Shore Running Club organizes the Asbury Park RunAPalooza, which includes a Half Marathon, Marathon Relay, and 5K event, in Ashbury Park, NJ. The race benefits the Jersey Shore Dream Center.
The Asbury Park Half Marathon starts and finishes in Asbury Park and runs through the iconic Jersey Shore towns of Interlaken, Allenhurst, Deal, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach and Avon by the Sea. It is a USATF Certified Course. The Jersey Shore 5K is a fast and flat course that starts and finishes in Asbury Park on a scenic course passing such sites as Convention Hall, Stone Pony, Madam Marie, and the Great Auditorium. It finishes on the historic Asbury Park Boardwalk. The Jersey Shore Marathon Relay allows teams of 1-5 members to run from Seaside Heights to Asbury Park, NJ on an awesome 26-mile oceanfront course along many boardwalks and past scenic venues.
