Race Information

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot, sponsored by Capital One Bank, is the largest Thanksgiving Day running event in the Dallas. The first Dallas Turkey Trot was held at White Rock Lake over 40 years ago with only 107 participants. Today it has grown into the undisputed "Way to Begin Thanksgiving Day" for the Dallas running community. The Trot consists of both certified 5k and 8-mile races for serious runners. The 5k is also the choice course for new runners, families with young kids/strollers, grandparents, and anyone looking to take their time and enjoy the morning with friends and family. There is also a 1k Junior Trot!

The Dallas YMCA believes in strong kids, strong families and strong communities, and they are all represented at the Trot. Participants help support important YMCA programs.
