The Rolley Coaster
Race Information
Run a 7.5km trail loop course at The Rolley Coaster, a fundraiser for the non-profit organization, Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue.
The Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue Team is a volunteer SAR group based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. As one of over 80 SAR groups in BC, they respond to calls from local law enforcement to wilderness and urban searches and rescues. Golden Ears Provincial Park, is in their response area and is the location of many of their responses.
Rolley Lake Provincial Park is a beautiful park with rolling trails, mixed forests and a combination of wide dirt trails and single track trails. The course will take you on a roller coaster ride through the forest, over footbridges, past streams and waterfalls, including Rolley Falls.
The 7.5km features 344 meters of ascent and 347 meters of descent. There are technical uphill and downhill sections therefore this course is unsuitable for any wheels. The course will be open for 8 hours. You can do one lap, go for 2 hours or 5 hours -- you choose what distance and/or time is best for you. For those of you looking to go long or far you have 8 hours to complete as many laps as possible. You can walk, hike or run.
